Service changes at St James

It has been decided that we will now have two combined services a month; the second Sunday of the month as well as the fourth Sunday will be Family Communion at 10am. On all other Sundays there will be an 8:45 communion service and an 11am service of the Word. Our Missional service with guest speaker has now moved to the third Sunday of the month at 11am.

Prayers for Manchester

St. Stephens, Little Harwood has arranged a prayer for comfort for the families who have lost their dear children and adults at Manchester Bomb Blast.  This was a terror attack executed through a suicide Bomb Blast.  About 120 members from the Christian and Muslim Community gathered at St. Stephens to condemn this terror attack and offered their prayers of comfort for the bereaved families.

A joint Statement was forwarded by the leadership of Masjid E Sajedeen and St. Stephens Little Harwood reads;

“We write with Sadness in reference to the dreadful and abhorrent act of terrorism that occurred this week at Manchester arena which was surely meant to divide the community, one side against the other.  We the Christian people of St. Stephens Church in Little Harwood along with our Muslim brothers of Masjid E Sajedeen in Little Harwood totally condemn such atrocities.  We ask every one to pray for the people of Manchester, for all the bereaved, injured and their families that we will stand together united at this time of such heartfelt tragedy.

They must never be allowed to succeed. Together we must move forward with Unity, Resolve and Love.”
